Stylistically incorrectly constructed sentence question led to a distortion of its meaning. From the text of the question follows that of the sociologist is interested in whether or not a worker applies a sequence of operations for some specific work. This is the first conceptual content, which captures the Respondent at first reading. From the context of alternatives shows that researchers are interested in something quite different, does work exactly the sequence of operations, techniques and methods of work taught him. This sense is incorporated in the text of the question, but implicitly, implicitly, only in the second tier of the conceptual content of the question. The question in this wording has caused difficulties for respondents and required constant explanation, especially the last alternative, the content of which is "never used..." immediately associated with the idea of the absence of a "sequence of operations" that led the Respondent to a logical absurdity: work, no matter how bad it may have done, always consists of some sequence of operations, even if it is not rational.
Not always stylistic flaws are so obvious in nature, it is often there are minor stylistic errors, but they create an unfavorable background, leave an impression of slovenliness, carelessness. All of this can sometimes even subconsciously annoy the respondents.
The style of question, the language of the questionnaire is one of the most important moments of the development process methodology. Before giving the questionnaire to the reproduction, review it carefully, analyze each sentence and making sure to complete the stylistic accuracy, you can consider it ready. Not every sociologist can be a good editor, so it is best if it will take a professional editor, and even better, if the questionnaire is to be held the entire cycle of editorial and proofreading preparation. Then You can be sure that the questionnaire is done correctly and will not cause confusion.
