In other words, the ratio of fact and empirical knowledge is considered in the framework of causality, causal dependence, which, in turn, is represented by the linear flow of time and therefore irreversible. Accordingly, we cannot say that empirical knowledge determines the content of the fact. And if so, it means that we cannot interpret the facts and to solve their problems. And thus painted themselves into a logical impasse.
But if we agree that empirical fact still points to empirical knowledge, then we must admit that there is something else that mediates empirical fact and empirical knowledge. This third, as we have said, can only be another fact. The mediator between these facts is always some other empirical knowledge, and thus another objective fact. This fact allows us to translate empirical fact empirical knowledge and back, to control or, more precisely, to determine the content of empirical fact in the framework of tasks.
This third fact is our past knowledge.
